Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State for Home, demonstrated commendable swift action when he personally intervened to rescue a woman involved in a road accident in the Manakonduru area on Monday morning. The woman, identified as Divyashree, was struck by a lorry while riding her scooter, causing her to fall under its wheels. Her hair became entangled in the left tire of the vehicle, trapping her in a vulnerable position.
Upon noticing the accident, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who was en route to Mulugu, immediately halted his convoy. He got out of his vehicle and assessed the situation. The Minister instructed the lorry driver and cleaner to lift the vehicle using a jack and free the woman’s hair. He offered words of encouragement to the frightened woman, reassuring her that she would be safely rescued.
Bandi Sanjay supervised the rescue operation, staying on-site for approximately 30 minutes. During this time, he personally managed the clearance of vehicles that were stalled due to the incident, ensuring that the road was cleared for traffic. Once the woman was safely freed, he arranged for her transport to the hospital in his own vehicle.
The Minister also contacted doctors at the hospital, requesting them to provide the best possible care and to keep him updated on the woman’s condition. The timely intervention ensured that the woman received the necessary medical attention, and she is reportedly recovering.
