Senior Congress leader Robert Vadra, husband of Priyanka Gandhi, made headlines with his recent remarks on women’s safety during a visit to Peddamma’s mother in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, on Friday. Vadra expressed his desire for a future where all women, including his wife and daughter, feel secure.
“With current atrocities against women, it is crucial that we strive for a time when every woman in the country can feel safe,” Vadra stated. He also welcomed Priyanka Gandhi’s candidacy for Wayanad and emphasized the need for societal change to enhance women’s safety.
Vadra suggested that educating women on personal safety should start at home, and he stressed that he and Rahul Gandhi share a unified view on addressing the country’s issues. “The people of India are demanding change, and I am confident we will see progress in the next five years,” he added.
