Sriharikota: Despite holding the portfolio of Technology Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed concerns over the state government’s financial strain, which has hindered its ability to allocate funds to ISRO. Speaking at Sriharikota, Pawan Kalyan reminisced about how rocket launches once brought NASA to mind, but today, Indian scientists have elevated the nation’s reputation globally.

He lauded the sacrifices of many scientists, crediting them for India’s advanced rocket launches, which now surpass global standards. Pawan Kalyan urged ISRO to initiate programs aimed at enhancing students’ awareness of science and technology. Reflecting on his childhood, he shared that he had once dreamed of seeing ISRO, and now, after 40 years, he has joined the organization as Technology Minister. He emphasized his unwavering Indian identity, regardless of the multitude of languages spoken across the country.

While acknowledging the relentless efforts of ISRO scientists, Pawan Kalyan pointed out the poor condition of the roads they travel on. He mentioned that he had discussed the issue with Tirupati District Collector Venkateswar, and assured that the construction of the road from Buchinaidu Kandrika to Mannapoluru would commence soon.

He also recalled the words of comfort Prime Minister Modi offered to the then ISRO Chairman after the Chandrayaan-2 launch failure, and how this encouragement fueled the scientists’ success in launching Chandrayaan-3 with double the confidence.
