Krishna district Superintendent of Police Gangadhar has refuted reports regarding the arrest of former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi. Earlier news aired that Vamsi, who traveled from Hyderabad to his house in Gannavaram, was arrested by the police.
SP Gangadhar clarified the situation, stating that Vamsi’s two associates were arrested in connection with the attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram. One of Vamsi’s followers, Ramesh, was arrested and presented in court, where he was remanded to judicial custody. Another associate, known rowdy-sheeter Yusuf Pathan, was also arrested and is expected to be produced in court tomorrow.
Vallabhaneni Vamsi has been identified as A-71 in the TDP office attack case, and the police have already arrested 18 individuals in connection with this incident. Earlier reports suggested that Vamsi’s vehicle was pursued by the police and he was arrested en route from Hyderabad to Gannavaram. However, these reports were put to rest following SP Gangadhar’s announcement that Vamsi had not been arrested. As of now, Vallabhaneni Vamsi has not issued any statement regarding the matter.
