Cockroach Janata Party chief Abhijeet Dipke has leveled serious allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, claiming the government is using its powers solely to protect Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Dipke made the remarks at a press conference held alongside Neha Bora and actor Prakash Raj.

Dipke alleged that police are stopping young people protesting against Gyanesh Kumar and dragging them onto the streets. He asked whom the crackdown was meant to serve, and whether it was solely aimed at protecting the Chief Election Commissioner. He accused the government of behaving as though it were waging war against its own citizens.

Dipke also questioned the conduct of the Election Commission. He noted that the vote-share gap between the NDA and the INDIA bloc in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections was only about two percent, and asked why the public should not suspect that Gyanesh Kumar is acting in favour of the BJP during elections.

Criticising the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Dipke alleged that the names of 13 crore voters were deleted during the exercise. He claimed that some people were wrongly marked as dead during the revision and said he had personally met such individuals.

Dipke further attacked the Centre’s proposed One Nation, One Election policy, describing it as a mere slogan. He alleged that the government’s actual objective is “One Nation, One Party.”

He added that if Prime Minister Modi genuinely intends to impose an Emergency, he should announce it openly, and should also consider how the international community would respond.
