Hyderabad: A confidential list circulating in Silicon Valley has become a subject of debate, according to a report by the New York Post. The report says the list contains the names of more than 100 people who face allegations of sexual harassment and rape. It also notes that a name appearing on the list does not mean the allegations against that person are true.
The report says some women have been unable to report such incidents to police because they fear damage to their jobs and future careers. As a result, they have used the list to share information with one another and warn each other.
Similar allegations have also emerged from “hacker houses,” where young tech workers live together. The report says that in some cases, women alleged they were sexually assaulted after being given intoxicating substances. One woman accused a tech company employee of rape and sexual assault in 2021.
Just found out my former housemate was assaulted by a member of a San Francisco group house called The Muse.
Tl;dr: The dark underbelly of SF’s “community culture” often protects predators in the ecosystem over victims.

The report also describes a woman who alleged that a sexual encounter took place without her consent after she consumed an intoxicating substance at a 2025 gathering. In another case, a man was removed from a residence after a woman complained, and several other women later filed complaints against him.
The New York Post said the lack of proper channels for women to report such incidents has become a major problem. Callisto, an organization that helped victims confidentially share their accounts, has stopped accepting new cases. The report adds that while such lists help women warn one another, the truth of the allegations must be established separately.
