Indian-origin Google senior engineer Shital Vresene (57) was brutally murdered in a shocking incident in Georgia, US, with her husband Kirk Vresene (56) named as the accused by police. Preliminary investigation revealed the killing occurred following a dispute between the couple. The shooting took place at their residence in Cobb County on Tuesday night. While the altercation was underway, police found their son Jason Vresene lying outside with gunshot wounds and rushed him to hospital; upon entering the house, they found Shital Vresene dead on the spot from gunshot wounds. Kirk Vresene was immediately arrested.
He has been charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and illegal possession of a firearm, among other serious charges. He has been denied bail and is currently held at Cobb County jail.
