Police investigations have revealed that a meticulously planned murder conspiracy lies behind the death of prominent realtor Ketan Agarwal. Investigators found that the accused had visited Lohagad Fort several days before the incident and even conducted rehearsals on how to push Ketan off. Moreover, they had prepared in advance the answers they would give to police questions after committing the murder. The deep investigation uncovered sensational details about their careful planning through online searches and deleted messages.

According to police, the first attempt to kill Ketan took place on June 14. However, four to five days prior to that, the accused — Sia Goel and Chetan Chaudhary — met and planned how to push Ketan into the valley from the top of Lohagad Fort. Having gathered information about various parts of the fort in advance, the duo conducted full rehearsals — where Sia would stand, which direction Chetan would approach from, and which side to push Ketan into the valley. Police discovered that before settling on pushing him from Lohagad Fort as the easiest method, they had searched Google and YouTube for various ways to kill a person.

Sia Goel and Chetan Chaudhary first met at a Diwali celebration, and their acquaintance turned into a romantic relationship during cricket matches at the Market Yard. Police believe Sia’s brother Sahil Goel was also aware of this. However, through family connections, Sia’s engagement to Ketan Agarwal was arranged, and the engagement ceremony took place in February. Though Sia distanced herself from Chetan for a while after the engagement, she eventually resumed contact with him. Unwilling to marry Ketan but not knowing how to break off the engagement, she ultimately planned with Chetan to eliminate Ketan. Even as wedding photoshoots, family celebrations, and gift exchanges took place in March and April, doubts about the marriage and the conspiracy continued brewing beneath the surface.

On the day of the murder, Chetan Chaudhary wore a hoodie to conceal his identity and went to Lohagad with his face covered. After following Sia and Ketan up to the fort, he removed the hoodie and stuffed it into his bag. He feared Ketan might recognize him, since he had spoken with Ketan twice on video calls as Sia’s close friend in the past. After pushing Ketan into the valley, Chetan put the hoodie back on and came down from the fort acting as if nothing had happened — chatting normally with passersby along the way, stopping to have tea, and then heading home.
