India’s leading IT services company, Tata Consultancy Services has announced a strategic partnership with global artificial intelligence firm Anthropic to accelerate the adoption of AI-powered solutions across industries.
The collaboration is aimed at helping businesses integrate advanced AI technologies into their operations while enabling TCS to strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving artificial intelligence landscape.
As part of the agreement, TCS will establish a dedicated business unit focused exclusively on AI innovation and implementation. The division will leverage Anthropic’s Claude AI models to develop enterprise-grade solutions, conduct research, and create customized applications tailored to client requirements.
The partnership also includes a large-scale workforce upskilling initiative. Around 50,000 TCS employees across key functions, including engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales, will gain access to Anthropic’s Claude AI tools. The initiative is expected to enhance employee productivity and enable AI-assisted workflows across the organization.
According to the companies, the integration of AI agents into business processes will help simplify complex tasks, improve operational efficiency, and support faster decision-making.
TCS and Anthropic will jointly develop AI-driven products and solutions for several sectors, including financial services, healthcare, aviation, telecommunications, and medical technology. These solutions are expected to improve customer service, address operational challenges, and significantly boost productivity for enterprise clients.
The collaboration is also expected to accelerate automation efforts, enabling businesses to tackle complex operational issues more effectively through AI-powered tools and workflows.
Commenting on the partnership, Ario Amodei said Anthropic is excited to deepen its engagement with India and collaborate with TCS to advance AI innovation and adoption across industries.
