BRS chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has received a legal setback after Minister Seethakka served him a legal notice over alleged defamatory social media posts. She has accused the BRS of circulating false information regarding the procurement of Anganwadi mobile phones through its official social media handles.

Acting through her advocate Naguluri Krishna Kumar, Seethakka issued the notice via registered post, stating that the procurement process was fully handled by Telangana State Technology Services Limited. She clarified that the contract was awarded based on the recommendations and decisions of the tender evaluation committee, with no personal involvement on her part.

The Minister strongly rejected allegations claiming irregularities worth ₹30 crore in a ₹44 crore tender, terming them baseless and defamatory. She asserted that the entire procurement process was conducted in a transparent and procedural manner as per government norms.

Seethakka has also demanded that KCR take responsibility for the alleged misinformation and issue a public apology within 48 hours. She warned that failure to comply would result in civil and criminal legal action against him.
