In a major escalation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for retaliatory strikes on alleged US-linked “secret bases” in Dubai, following recent attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran. The IRGC stated that the targeted facilities were severely damaged and claimed that nearly 500 American personnel were present, with significant casualties reported. These claims have not been independently verified.
The IRGC said the attacks were carried out using missiles and drones, marking an expansion of Iran’s military response in the Gulf region. It also indicated that multiple US-linked installations across Gulf countries are being targeted. In addition to military sites, Iran is reportedly focusing on critical economic infrastructure, including major industrial and energy facilities in countries that host US forces.
An IRGC commander stated that the scale of the damage would be evident to US President Donald Trump and senior military officials, warning that American forces may have limited options in the region. Iranian media outlets reported that emergency services in Dubai were active for hours, transporting injured individuals to hospitals following the strikes.
Meanwhile, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has reiterated warnings to Gulf nations, urging them to deny airspace access to US and Israeli forces for operations against Iran. He cautioned that continued cooperation could make those countries potential targets, adding that regional stability and development depend on their stance as tensions continue to rise across the Gulf.
