U.S. President Donald Trump announced that attacks on Iran’s energy facilities will be postponed for an additional 10 days. The extension, requested by the Iranian government, is valid until 8 p.m. on April 6. Trump stated that ongoing talks with Iran are progressing positively and urged the public not to trust fake news circulating on social media regarding the conflict.

Earlier, Trump had issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Hormuz Strait. Following discussions, attacks on Iran’s power and fuel facilities were initially postponed for five days. The new 10-day extension highlights the importance of the ongoing negotiations, with Trump noting that progress is being made in talks with Iran.

Despite these developments, a stalemate continues in U.S.-Iran discussions. While the U.S. maintains that a peace agreement is possible, it is deploying additional forces across the Middle East. Iran, however, has stated that it is not participating in talks aimed at stopping the ongoing conflict.

Tensions remain high as Israel conducted strikes on Iran on Thursday, and Iran has carried out retaliatory attacks on Gulf countries. Missiles targeted the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, and although the UAE intercepted them, falling debris resulted in two deaths, including one Indian and one Pakistani national.
