Amid the escalating Iran–Israel conflict, Iran has made serious allegations against Israel and the United States, claiming that both countries are copying Iran’s Shahed-136 model drones and using them in attacks while shifting the blame onto Tehran. Iranian officials said that despite facing coordinated attacks from Israel and the United States, the country has been responding on its own and keeping pressure on its adversaries. Tehran alleged that imitation versions of its drones are being launched at civilian locations in other countries in an attempt to portray Iran as the aggressor before the global community.
According to a report by Press TV, an Iranian military official claimed that Iran only targets those directly attacking the country. However, he alleged that its adversaries are deliberately using copied drones to strike populated areas and falsely implicate Iran. The official further stated that such tactics are aimed at shaping global opinion against Tehran and intensifying diplomatic pressure on the country.
The Iranian official also accused the United States and Israel of failing to gather sufficient political and military support against Tehran and therefore resorting to deceptive strategies. Iran denied involvement in several recent suspicious attacks reported in countries including Türkiye, Kuwait and Iraq. Tehran alleged that Western media outlets and hostile organisations were wrongly blaming Iranian forces for these incidents in an effort to damage Iran’s relations with neighbouring countries.
The official also rejected allegations linking Iran to a recent drone strike on the Royal Air Force base at RAF Akrotiri. He stressed that Iranian military operations are carried out with strict discipline and only against selected targets. Calling for stronger regional cooperation, the official urged neighbouring countries to work together to counter what he described as hostile conspiracies, as drone attacks continue to intensify in the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States in West Asia.
