Washington: Amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, Iran had previously apologized to Gulf countries over recent hostilities. However, Iranian President Pejeshkian has now reportedly called for attacks on Gulf nations, escalating regional tensions.

U.S. President Donald Trump reacted with a post on Truth Social, stating that a “severely weakened Iran” has intruded into neighboring Middle Eastern countries and pledged further aggression. He attributed this development to continuous U.S. and Israeli actions against Tehran, aimed at controlling the Middle East.

Trump noted that Iran’s current position is historically unprecedented. “In thousands of years, this is the first time Iran has been defeated and penetrated by Middle Eastern nations. Iran will no longer threaten the region and will remain in a weakened state for decades, either until it withdraws or collapses completely,” he wrote.

He also highlighted ongoing military operations against Iran, stating that “due to Iran’s misbehavior, areas and groups not previously targeted are now under scrutiny,” signaling intensified pressure on Tehran.

Analysts say Trump’s post reflects the broader geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, underscoring the potential for continued instability as Iran faces mounting military and diplomatic challenges from regional and global powers.
