The Jeffrey Epstein scandal has resurfaced global attention with the release of the Epstein Files, revealing explicit photos and videos involving wealthy individuals, politicians, and business leaders. Among those named is Indian industrialist Anil Ambani, whose communications with Epstein reportedly spanned from 2017 to 2019, continuing until a few months before sexual abuse allegations were formally filed against Epstein.
Documents suggest that Ambani was involved in discussions ranging from offers to a Swedish woman, meetings in Paris, and responses to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks at the 2018 World Economic Forum in Davos, to arranging a meeting at Epstein’s New York residence in 2019. The files also indicate that Ambani and Epstein discussed selecting heroines for films produced by Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment. Epstein is further reported to have facilitated access to books published about Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of the Reliance empire.
The files also make references to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Certain emails believed to be authored by Epstein mention Modi’s 2017 visit to Israel, indicating that the trip was reportedly made on his advice to benefit President Trump. Documents also reveal that Epstein sought to establish connections with key Indian government officials from 2014 to 2019 and attempted to arrange a meeting between Modi and Republican strategist Steve Bannon.
U.S. authorities have allowed members of Congress to review the Epstein Files under strict supervision. Lawmakers will have electronic access to the full documents via Department of Justice computers, ensuring secure examination. Physical copies of the files will not be provided, but Congress members can study all contents electronically.
The release of these files has sparked renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s global network and the involvement of prominent figures. Indian officials and Reliance representatives have not yet publicly commented on the matter, while legal and diplomatic authorities continue monitoring the situation closely.
