Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has issued a stern warning to party MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy following an alleged assault on forest department personnel in Srisailam. The Chief Minister emphasized that even members of his own party would not be spared for misconduct and directed the police to register cases against those responsible, irrespective of political affiliation. Police have since filed a case against the MLA in accordance with the CM’s instructions.

According to forest department officials, the incident occurred when Budda Rajasekhar Reddy arrived at a forest check-post in Srisailam on Tuesday night. Frustrated that the gate was closed and staff did not respond immediately, the MLA reportedly summoned nearby patrolling personnel, verbally abused them, and physically assaulted them. He allegedly forced the staff into a patrolling vehicle and subjected them to further abuse, while his supporters also attacked police personnel. The incident, which has gone viral on social media, left several staff members injured.

Victims identified include Deputy Range Officer Ramulunaye, guard Guruvayya, and driver Kareemulla. Forest officials stated that the MLA and his supporters arrived around 10 PM, and their vehicles, along with others carrying devotees, were temporarily stopped by staff due to the gate being closed. The Srisailam One Town police have registered a case and are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.
