Konaseema: An incident involving alleged occult rituals and illegal excavation has caused tension in Kottapeta town of Konaseema district. The incident came to light after locals reported suspicious activities at a house near Gandhi Bomma Center, where the homeowner allegedly conducted a late-night ritual and dug a 30-foot-deep pit in the middle of the house. Residents had earlier noticed lemons, turmeric, and vermilion around the premises, raising suspicion of black magic practices.
Police rushed to the location and detained the house owner along with five others. Preliminary investigations indicate that the excavation may have been carried out in search of hidden treasure. Authorities have also identified a man from Amalapuram who reportedly performed the rituals and took him into custody. A case has been registered against six individuals, and further investigation is underway as police attempt to ascertain the full details of the incident.
