The Indian government has intensified its counterterrorism operations against Pakistan-based terror outfits. In the latest action, codenamed Operation Mahadev, security forces killed three foreign terrorists near Mahadev Peak in Srinagar. Among those neutralized was the mastermind of the Pahalgam terror attack. The operation has drawn nationwide praise for the bravery of Indian forces.
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration for its strategic approach to combating terrorism. “This is not a one-time strike but part of a comprehensive war doctrine,” Chugh stated, highlighting the involvement of Pakistan’s ISI in terror activities.
Earlier, during Operation Sindoor, India targeted Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists. Chugh criticized Congress leaders P. Chidambaram and Gaurav Gogoi for questioning Pakistan’s role in the Pahalgam attack during parliamentary discussions. “Do the Army, intelligence agencies, and victims’ families wait for your certification?” he remarked.
Chugh reiterated that the Modi government remains committed to dismantling terror networks and ensuring the safety of sacred sites such as Sri Harmandir Sahib, Vaishno Devi, and the Amarnath Yatra.
