Hyderabad: Actor Allari Naresh, known for his transition from comedy roles to intense character-driven stories, has announced his 63rd film titled Alcohol on the occasion of his birthday. The first-look poster was also unveiled, suggesting the film belongs to the thriller genre.
The film will be directed by Meher Tej, who gained recognition with Family Drama, and is being produced by Sitara Entertainments. Ruhani Sharma will play the female lead. In the poster, Naresh’s face appears half-submerged in alcohol, hinting at a narrative that blurs the line between reality and illusion.
The production banner has recently delivered hits like MAD, Lucky Bhaskar, and Dacoit Maharaja, raising expectations around Alcohol. Fans believe this could mark a strong comeback for Naresh after his recent films Aa Okkati Adakku and Bachhalamalli received a lukewarm response despite praise for his performances.
Pre-production work is currently underway, and a formal launch ceremony is expected soon. Naresh is also working on another film titled 12th Railway Colony as part of his evolving career in serious cinema.
