Tehran: In a significant development amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, Iranian authorities have executed a man accused of spying for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad. The judiciary confirmed on Monday that Mohammad Amin was hanged after being convicted of providing sensitive information to the Israeli agency.

According to Iranian officials, Amin was operating a cyber network in collaboration with Mossad and was actively involved in anti-government media operations. He allegedly met Israeli agents in a neighboring country and was assigned to run social media campaigns targeting Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Armed Forces.

This is the third execution Iran has carried out in recent weeks in connection with espionage activities linked to Israel. Earlier, two other individuals — Esmail Fakhri and Majid Mosayebi — were also executed on similar charges.

The executions have drawn widespread condemnation from international human rights organizations, which have raised concerns over the lack of transparency in Iran’s judicial proceedings. Several rights groups have criticized the Iranian authorities for allegedly issuing capital punishment without adequate evidence or due process.

The incident comes at a time when the security situation in the region remains volatile, with fears of further escalation between Iran and Israel.
