YCP Suspends Leaders Over Anti-Party Activities

Amaravati, June 9: The YSR Congress Party (YCP) has suspended several leaders for indulging in anti-party activities. Among those expelled are former Guntur Mayor Kavati Manohar Naidu and corporators Marri Anjali and Yatla Ravikumar.

In a parallel move, the party also removed 16 members from the Chittoor district’s Kuppam constituency, including 10 municipal councillors and the ZPTC member from Shantipuram.

Kavati Manohar Naidu had earlier contested from Chilakaluripet constituency on a YCP ticket in the last elections but lost. He later resigned from the post of Guntur city Mayor and has since remained inactive in party affairs. His recent suspension by the YCP high command has now sparked political discussion in the region.
