New Delhi: The suspense over who will become the next BJP National President continues to build. Recently, the party’s high command postponed the election process for the top post. However, key information has now emerged suggesting that the new president’s name may be announced by the end of May.
Currently, two names are prominently in the running for the position: Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhupendra Yadav. Both leaders belong to the OBC community and have long played significant roles within the party. When BJP won in Odisha, Dharmendra Pradhan was considered a contender for the Chief Ministerial post, although he continued to serve as a Union Minister.

Reports indicate that the high command is leaning towards appointing Dharmendra Pradhan as the next BJP National President, with a final decision still pending. The party aims to commence preparations for the Bihar Assembly elections, scheduled for October or November this year, under the new president’s leadership. Meanwhile, Operation Sindoor, launched by India after the Pulwama terror attack, has drawn global attention. Experts believe the BJP’s political standing has strengthened further due to its handling of this operation.
