Kuppam: Two devastating accidents in Andhra Pradesh have claimed the lives of seven children, leaving families and communities in shock. In Devarajapuram village of Kuppam mandal, Chittoor district, three children—Shalini (5), Ashwin (6), and Gowthami (8)—drowned after falling into a rainwater-filled pit dug for construction work. The children were playing near the site when the accident occurred. Local residents and family members expressed deep grief following the recovery of the bodies.
Meanwhile, in Dwarapudi village, Vizianagaram district, four children—Charumathi (8), Uday (8), Manasvi (6), and Charishma (6)—were found dead inside a locked car parked near the village women’s council office. The children had gone out to play but did not return home. Initial reports suggest they may have been trapped inside the vehicle, resulting in suffocation.
