Mountain View, California: Tech giant Google has unveiled a refreshed design of its iconic ‘G’ logo, marking the first significant update in nearly ten years. The redesigned logo replaces the previous segmented block colors with a fluid gradient style, blending red, yellow, green, and blue into a single, unified form.
Since 2015, the ‘G’ logo has remained unchanged, featuring flat color blocks representing Google’s signature color palette. The new gradient design offers a more modern and dynamic appearance, reflecting the company’s evolving design philosophy.
What if Google reimagined every Logo of its services in the same sleek style? That would be seriously satisfying! 😍#Google #GoogleLogo pic.twitter.com/C9TIdMNAoT

According to sources, the logo update is part of a broader branding revamp aligned with the company’s AI-driven initiatives, particularly the Google Gemini generative assistant. Google plans to implement the updated logo across its various services.
The new design will first be rolled out to iOS and Pixel users via the Google Search app, followed by select Android devices through the Google App Beta version 16.18. However, Google has not yet confirmed an official rollout date.
There is still no clarity on whether the updated ‘G’ logo will be extended to other core Google services such as Chrome, Maps, Gmail, and Drive. Further announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
