New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Sunday confirmed that Operation Sindhur is ongoing, dismissing reports suggesting a pause in military action. The announcement, made on social media platform X, came shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level security meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, the Chief of Defence Staff, and heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The IAF stated that it had successfully completed the tasks assigned to it during the operation and cautioned the public against believing misinformation circulating online. The force emphasized that the operation is continuing as planned and remains a critical part of India’s strategic response.

The update follows reports of Pakistan violating the ceasefire agreement along the Line of Control (LoC) despite a truce being agreed upon on Saturday afternoon. The ceasefire, brokered via the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) hotline, was reportedly breached later that evening.

Government sources indicate that India is prepared to respond to provocations with equal force, signaling a firm posture against any further acts of aggression. The Indian government has strongly condemned Pakistan’s actions and reaffirmed its commitment to national security.
