Hyderabad: Praja Shanti Party president Dr. K.A. Paul strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, while addressing a press conference on Saturday. He expressed serious concern over the security lapses and questioned how terrorists were able to reach a heavily guarded area.
“I have always condemned terrorism — not just now, but at the time of the attack itself,” Paul said. “I even discussed the matter during my recent visit to the United States.” Questioning the role of security personnel, he added, “With such a large deployment in place, how did terrorists manage to infiltrate? What were the security forces doing at the time?”
Dr. Paul claimed that international leaders are urging him to take up a leadership role and criticized the current political scenario in the country. “States are ruled by dacoits, and religious extremism is rising at the national level. Our leadership is weak, and that’s why our country is vulnerable,” he said.
Highlighting the global perspective, Paul stated that he had held discussions with prominent U.S. leaders regarding the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. “I was informed that a war could erupt under the pretext of terrorism,” he noted.
Paul also made a controversial claim, asserting that intelligence reports related to the Pahalgam attack — including the identities and motives of those involved — are with U.S. authorities. “The Americans know who orchestrated the attack and why,” he said.
Urging youth to rise above caste and religion, he appealed for public support to bring his party to power, saying, “It’s time for young men and women to support Praja Shanti Party and rebuild the nation.”
