Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh coalition government has announced a significant reshuffle of senior IAS officers, marking a strategic administrative move since coming to power. Officers who had been sidelined during the previous administration are now being assigned key responsibilities.
Senior IAS officer B. Rajasekhar (commonly known as Sisodia), who was overseeing the Revenue and Registration departments as Special Chief Secretary, has been transferred and appointed as the Special Chief Secretary for Handlooms and Textiles.
In his place, CCLA Special Chief Secretary Y. Jayalakshmi has been given additional charge as Special Chief Secretary for Revenue.
IT Secretary Katamneni Bhaskar has been entrusted with additional responsibilities as Director of the Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Corporation.
Mutyala Raju, who held an influential position in the Chief Minister’s Office during the previous YSRCP government, has now been appointed as Secretary of the State Institute of Panchayati Raj.
IAS officer Madhavi Latha, who had been awaiting a posting, has been appointed as CEO of Rythu Bazaars.
Gowthami has been appointed as Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society.
Dinesh Kumar, who was earlier transferred from AP Fibernet following allegations against GV Reddy, has been posted as Director of AYUSH.
In another key appointment, the government has named K. Neelakanta Reddy as Managing Director of the AP AIDS Control Society.
These changes are seen as part of the coalition government’s efforts to strengthen governance and administrative efficiency across critical departments.
